This writer can be political without being didactic, or, worse, boring. His thinking is clear. Unlike so many writers, who pile on ending after ending, he knows exactly when his story has to conclude. As a poker player, he appreciates deception, but he respects his audience. I wouldn't want to play poker with him, but having read all of his plays, I would love to see them someday.
